Privacy Policy

Preamble

This privacy policy applies to the website ccfranco-arabe.org, published by the French-Arab Chamber of Commerce (Chambre de Commerce Franco-Arabe, “CCFA”), a non-profit association governed by the French law of 1 July 1901, founded on 8 December 1970, with its registered office at 250 bis, boulevard Saint-Germain, 75007 Paris, France.

Its purpose is to inform users of the website about how their personal data is collected, used and protected, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (the “GDPR”) and the amended French Data Protection Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 (“loi Informatique et Libertés”).

The data controller is the CCFA, represented by its President. You can contact the CCFA:

Personal data collected

When you use the website, the CCFA may collect the following personal data:

• Contact form: last name, first name, email address and the content of your message;
• Newsletter subscription: email address.

This information is provided voluntarily by the user. Fields marked as mandatory on the forms must be completed for your request to be processed; otherwise, the CCFA will not be able to respond to it.

No other data is collected automatically for tracking or profiling purposes (see the “Cookies and trackers” section below).

Purposes of processing

The data collected is used by the CCFA for the following purposes:

• responding to requests sent through the contact form;
• sending the CCFA newsletter to people who have subscribed to it;
• more generally, managing the CCFA’s relationships with companies, members and partners.

Your data is not used for any other purpose, in particular for commercial purposes, without informing you beforehand.

Legal bases for processing

The processing described above is based on the following legal grounds, as provided for in Article 6 of the GDPR:

• the consent of the data subject, for newsletter subscription (you may withdraw it at any time);
• the CCFA’s legitimate interest in responding to requests sent through the contact form, as part of its mission to promote economic relations between France and the Arab world.

Recipients of data and processors

The data collected is intended exclusively for authorised CCFA staff, within the limits of their respective duties.

Data retention period

• Data sent through the contact form is kept for as long as necessary to process your request, then archived for a maximum of 3 years from the last contact, as evidence in the event of a dispute.
• Data related to newsletter subscription is kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time using the unsubscribe link included in each newsletter or by writing to info@ccfranco-arabe.org.

Cookies and trackers

As of the date this policy was last updated, the website ccfranco-arabe.org does not use any audience measurement cookies, advertising trackers or social media trackers. Only technical cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to function may be set; in accordance with applicable regulations, these cookies do not require your prior consent.

Should the CCFA introduce audience measurement or tracking tools (for example Google Analytics or social media pixels), this policy will be updated accordingly and a consent mechanism will be put in place, in line with the recommendations of the French data protection authority (Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés, CNIL).

Data security

The CCFA implements reasonable and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure or unauthorised access.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• right of access;
• right to rectification;
• right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”);
• right to restriction of processing;
• right to object;
• right to data portability, where applicable.

You can exercise these rights by writing to info@ccfranco-arabe.org or by post to the CCFA’s registered office, providing proof of identity if necessary.

Changes to this policy

The CCFA reserves the right to amend this privacy policy at any time, in particular to comply with legal, regulatory or technical developments. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document. We encourage you to consult it regularly.
